Performance delta: IDE vs SCSI VHD

All,
has anyone done any testing to see if a SCSI VHD performs better than an IDE VHD? And under what circumstances? Or perhaps the Parallels folks can weigh in?
Given that the physical drive on my laptop is SATA, I wonder if there is any value (or down side) in choosing one VHD over the other?

SCSI allows add more disks (15), and if you have SCSI interface and add Windows FS formatted disks as Boot Camp disk, performance will be real SCSI
