Dear all: As I understand the size of the Parallels VM for Windows is some 3 times the ISO-Image. Yet the Parallels VM for mac OS is some 4-8 times larger than the ISO-Image, blowing up the operations system beyond 60GB or 4 times the size of Windows 10. I wonder if my RAM with 16GB (iMac 2020) might be too low for that? I would like to learn, if the incredible file-size has a major impact on the performance, making macOS machines the second choice in Parallels. According to my first impressions, Windows seems to operate smoother than Catalina. Big Sur currently only 'runs' in 1024x768... (I think about installing Adobe CS6 in Windows 7 or El Capitan). Regards Felix MacOS Catalina native: MacOS Catalina VM: (256MB while Graphics set to 1000MB) Big Sur beta VM: (3MB while Graphics set to 1000MB)
Seems already 2015 there were similar concerns: Yet graphics-memory both for Catalina or Big Sur beta even can be set to 1GB, it remains 256 or 3 MB respectively... What is the opinion & advice of parallels?
