Inside my Kali Linux guest virtual machine, running on a Mac Host, when I select install Parallels Toolbox, the folder gets mounted and there's instructions to cd into the directory and run sudo ./install. That's exactly what I'm doing and I'm getting a permissions denied. Please advise. I've tried unmounting and remounting and I'm not getting anywhere. Getting shared folders mounted shouldn't be this hard. I'm running version 19 btw

    Hello EmilyA8,

It appears you are attempting to install Parallels Tools https://kb.parallels.com/en/129740 on your Parallels Desktop virtual machine (not to be confused with Parallels Toolbox https://www.parallels.com/products/toolbox/ )

Could you please confirm that :

    1. Your current user has sudoer rights?
To confirm this, please perform the following actions:
    • Start your virtual machine
    • Open your Terminal
    • Enter the following command "id"
    • Take a screenshot of the output and send it in reply to this post
    2. You are entering the correct password?
