    Hello!
I have an issue with my Windows system which is installed on an M1 Macbook, meaning it has Windows ARM. The problem is related to the fact that I am unable to install the driver for my new printer, and therefore unable to use it. For context, the printer is a Xerox Workcenter 3025, which requires its own xerox driver to work. However, whenever I try to install the driver, it gives me an error saying: "Operation could not be completed: error 0x800f0214." I believe that this issue is connected to the fact that it has Windows ARM, but I would appreciate it if anybody could help me. Looking for a driver through Windows update has solved the same issue with my previous printer, which was a Samsung one, but this time since Windows only recognizes the printer as a scanner, I am unable to find and install the driver automatically with Windows. I tried looking for an update through device management, where Windows searches for it online, also tried running the setup file in compatibility mode but no success. I have also tried selecting different windows drivers that are preinstalled on the computer but none of them managed to help the system recognize the device as a printer. I even updated to Windows 11 hoping it might change things, but it did not help. In conclusion, is there any way to install the driver without getting this error?

I would also like to add that I've tried Parallels' printer share feature but it does not print anything even though it works fine on the Mac system.

Hello, could you upgrade your Parallels Desktop version to the latest build 17.1.0 and check the issue please?

Solved!I managed to make shared printer work by manually installing the driver for the printer through mac then sharing it with windows. Thank you for your help!

So I have the same issue on Macbook Air M1 and Win 11 on parallels version 17 (latest version downloaded today). Same error message while installing driver for Samsung ML 2010 printer. The above solution (download driver for MacOs & then share with Win 11) will not work for me because there is NO driver for MaOS Monterey.
Have sent a Messenger note to Parallels team and lets see what they say.

Has anyone solved this? I have a Mac Mini M2 running Parallels 18.3.0.
I've successfully installed my printer software on my Windows 11 laptop and also my Intel Mac Pro running Parallels 18.3.0, but can't figure it out on my Mac Mini M2 or my Mac Mini M1.
I don't want to share the printer, I need the software and drivers on my Mac M2

    Thanks,

I have the same issue. Seems like after the last Parallels, Windows updates I can no longer install print drivers. No problems prior to these updates. MacBook Air, M1, Sonoma 14.1.1.

Sharing the printer does not work for me. Doesn't show up in quickbooks. Can't install the print drivers from Ricoh as the install window just keeps going back to select the driver location

I am also having this problem with Lexmark printers, local and network. Sharing from MAC to windows is not an option for network printers. Sharing also does not work for the locally connected one (special features on the printer and none of the pre installed Microsoft or parallel drivers work correctly with it, and she can not load her presets).
When I try to add a network printer (also Lexmark) I get 'Windows cannot connect to the printer. Operation failed with error 0x00000214'. Trying to install the drive by 'Have disk' also keeps a loop at the 'select the driver location'...
I was under the impression that adding a printer in win 11 parallel was supposed to be just like adding a printer in windows, but it is far from it.

However I have found that if I do 'Add a local printer or network printer with manual settings'...Create a new Standard TCP/IP port... put in the printer IP information (something our normal users will not know), and leave checked 'Query the printer and automatically select the driver to use'... Now I can see the Lexmark drivers I installed and choose the one, however none were the Lexmark universal driver, but the printer series driver was there. We want the universal driver, so I cancelled out
Then I reran the Lexmark Universal driver install and added the printer by the newly created port and it installed the universal drive (so it said). I then went to Printers & Scanners, Add Manually, Find a printer in the directory, chose the same printer I have been working with... No driver found.... Ok to load or cancel. I chose load, navigated to the driver location, ok, then it goes back to wanting me to choose the driver location again.
To test further I tried to add a different way again... Printer & Scanners, Add manually, Add Add a local printer or network printer with manual settings, chose the TCP/IP port that I already created, Has my Lexmark drivers in the list (just not the universal driver) so I chose the series driver, named the printer, Do not share, finish. I printed a test page but it is at a different location so I am not sure if it actually printed yet.
Then for another test... in printer management I removed the printer I had created and the port (left the drivers alone). I want to see if it will add it from the directory no like we have our users do.) Add manually, find a printer in the directory, chose the same printer I have been working with... No driver found (this may be because the print server has the driver as the universal and not the series, so I went on the print server and changed it to the series - just for this test) Now to test adding it again since the printer server has the series driver...Still no driver found.
Since nothing has worked except by adding it by locally by TCP/IP port (which will not work for our users) I set everything back to the way it was.
I will say though, I created a new printer on our print server server, with the same port # (just named it PrinterName - MAC) and put a Microsoft driver to it a Microsoft hat is preloaded on the MAC parallel (I went out and got those drivers if they weren't all ready there, been so long I can't remember) anyways put a Microsoft driver on it, I was then able to add the network print like out users are used to and it did print. (took a couple of tries to find the Microsoft driver that would work).
This is not a solution but a work around for our network printers.
I apologize for the on and on, but I have been trying to figure this out for way too long and it will probably end up being something simple, like a stupid check box (root of all IT evil btw)
