Just got my 1st mac after yrs on a pc. I have parallels installed-xp pro working well on my mac (major accomplishment for me). I have an HP printer set on my mac but how do I get (share) this printer with Paralles/XP
 
You can share the printer through some Apple software called "bonjour".

First go to the Mac/Parallels Technical Forum...then see the
thread titled: "USB Printing problem solved! (Generic solution?)"

This thread is a sticky thread, so it stays up near the top.
