Printer Problems

Parallel port shows enabled when windows xp virtual machine is stopped or suspended but not when running. I am running Parallels Desktop 4.0 on a Mac Book Pro and an IMac with Windows XP Professional SP2
 
Hello Roger,

Please follow the steps mentioned below:

1. Launch Parallels Desktop but do not start the Virtual Machine.
2. Go to Configure -> Select Parallels Port -> Click on -(minus) symbol and remove Parallels Port.
3. Restart the Virtual Machine.
4. Once again go to Configure --> Click on +(plus) symbol and add Parallels Port.
5. Restart the Virtual Machine.

Tried you suggestion but I still have the same problem. My Mac Book Pro and my Imac are both wirelessly connected to my Time Capsule. My printer is also connected by USB port to the Time Capsule. When I first set up my virtual machines everything was fine and I could print with no problem. Now if I go to configure when the VM is stopped it shows the Parallel Port enabled and connected but once I start the VM and go to Configure the Parallel Port shows connected but not enabled and I cannot print.
