Printing problems on Parallels Desktop for Mac

I can print in the Mac no problem, when I print in Windows I have to turn the printer off and on again. Then it prints, now if I go back to print on the mac it won't print until I suspend the virtual machine. I should be able to go back and forth and print but I can't. This is my first Apple Computer so I am no expert. Am I the only person with this problem.

on the mac Parallels Desktop >> menu >> Devices >> USB >> you can control which OS sees what

Parallels Desktop >> menu >> Devices > Shared Folders >> Add . . .

enter the Mac through your user name and add anything you like
