I have two macs on my network. I sit/work at one (we'll call it "A") and I want to print to a printer that is attached to Mac "B."
Sharing is setup correctly on the Mac side, and I can print a file (from the Mac OS) of Mac A to the printer on Mac B. I am running Parallels Version 5 on Mac A, the Windows version is XP SP2.
When I try to print from the Windows VM on Mac A (using the HP Color Laserjet 8500 PS Printer driver) to the printer that is shared from Mac B, I get no output from the printer on Mac B. The Mac OS X print queue sees the print job, and actually says it has completed, but the printer doesn't do anything. Again, it works fine if I originate the print job from the Mac side of Mac A.
I have installed the Bonjour for Windows app in the VM on Mac A, but it only sees the printers attached to Mac A directly, it does not see the shared printer that is attached to Mac B.
Can anyone help me resolve this?
