prluserd has floating point exception in CentOS 2.6.9

When installing Parallels Tools into CentOS, version 2.6.9-67.0.22.EL (version 4.6?), I get the following error:
[root@localhost parallels-tools-linuxjiVQAZ]# ./xorg.7.2/usr/bin/prluserd
Floating point exception

Apparently, Parallels Tools compiles prluserd incorrectly causing the error.

I'm using Parallels 3.0 build 5608.

Is there a fix?

How do I generate the compilation log?

parallels-tools.run --target somedir
Run
parallels-installer.s from that dir, and you will see log in the same folder

Note that prluserd gets created as a side-effect of parallel-tools.run, not parallel-tools.sh, so there is not log file from parallel-tools.run.

What next step should I try?
