Can anyone tell me how to simulate the Windows Key "PrntScrn" (Print Screen) using a Mac Keyboard? Thank you!
Hello Hgcoon, 1) To capture the whole screen: COMMAND, SHIFT, 3 2) To capture a window, dock, menu bar, etc: COMMAND, SHIFT, 4, then press spacebar to choose. 3) To capture a selection: Same as 2 but don't press spacebar, instead click and drag mouse. 4) Go to Macintosh HD, Applications, Utilities, and click on Grab. When you get a screen shot, it saves to the desktop as a PDF file and not to the clipboard. Best regards, Xenos
interesting in my Windows days I used the IrfanView utility these days with two monitors I use a videophone but I did refuse to learn DOS before Windows came out Hugh W
PrntScr not for printing Hi, I've the problem, that Windows Vista / Windows 7 uses the combination <shift>+<Alt>+<PrntScr> for switching to "high Contrast Mode" and vice versa. How could I do that on my MacBook Pro? Thanks in advance
HolmerS, Try mapping the shortcut to the PrtScr key in Paralles Desktop -> Preferences -> Keyboard and Mouse.
Thanks for the hint, but it does not work. I think the problem is to press the <LEFT shift> key in combination with <Alt>+<PrntScr>, but the emulation sends another code.
Yes!!! To anyone looking for this solution, defining a new mapping in Parallels Desktop -> Preferences -> Mouse Keyboard did indeed work for me. I was able to define a mapping of option+command to PrintScr in Windows. I'm running Windows 7 on a MacBook Pro running Snow Leopard and running Parallels 5 for Mac.
