I'm a new user of Parallels, with Windows 2000 Pro as the guest OS, and I want to install MS Office 2000 from a CD (actually, two CDs).
Apparently, this isn't as simple as opening the CD and clicking on the setup.exe file, because when I do that I get error messages ("can't find the program to run this file" or something similar) that seem to be coming from Mac OS X.
*** What do I need to do to install Office? ***
Also, in general, and particularly when you are doing 'file operations' (like this software installation, or copying/moving/deleting files, etc.) how do you know whether you are currently in Windows or in Mac OS X -- or does 'coherence' make that irrelevant?
Thanks.
