Problem to start VM after WindowsXP-Crash

Bit poster
if I try to start the VM with installed Windows XP - after Crash - everytime a new window with the OS installation assistent appears;
the parallels explorer and mounter also doesn't work with the .pvs and .hdd files;
I am in deep desperation because I fear to have lost all my data of the VM if I am not able to start it again. Thanx very much for your help!

This happened to me as well

I had the same problem, I reinstalled Windows, but on a later crash in which my disk was corrupted, I noticed in the configuration menu under hard disk I was changing the image file and there was my original install of Windows and the virtual disk, uncorrupted. I don't know if your disk is corrupted, however.
Give it a try though reinstall Windows then see if you can change the image file back to your old one.
