Problem transferring of Windows 10 from Parallels Desktop 11 to Parallels Desktop 12

Hello, I'd very much appreciate help.

I have a problem transferring Windows 10 from Parallels Desktop 11 to Parallels Desktop 12. Installation seems to be fine. Here is what I tried:

I installed Parallels Transporter Agent (PTA) on my virtual Windows 10 which runs on Parallels Desktop (PD) 11. I used the latest one for PD12.
- Transfer data via Network:
I get a passcode on PD12 which I enter in PTA 11, PTA tries to verify it but I get "Unable to use a passcode." When I try it with the IP address that PTA gives me (first of all a list of computers in the network never appears and if I enter the IP manually) I get a popup saying "Unable to connect to Parallels Transporter Agent."
- Transfer data via external HD:
PTA issues "An error occurred while collecting information about the computer."
At this point I followed the instructions here http://kb.parallels.com/5074 but got the same message.

All firewalls, mac and windows, are currently off. Do you have any helpful suggestions?

This problem may occur in case of incorrect setup of Parallels Transporter Agent "snapman.sys" driver. Please follow the steps outlined below:

1) In case of incorrect setup of Parallels Transporter Agent driver please reinstall Parallels Transporter Agent on your Windows PC:
2) Uninstall Parallels Transporter Agent.
3) Restart Windows PC.
4) Install Parallels Transporter Agent.
5) Restart Windows PC.
6) Make sure that Parallels Transporter Agent was installed successfully:

a) Open MyComputer and browse to the "C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\" folder and check the presence of the "snapman.sys" driver
b) Click on the "Start" button and browse to the "Control panel\Administrative Tools\Computer Management\<your computer>\Disk drives\STXXXXXXXX\Properties\Details". The "Class Upper Filters" option should contain "snapman" in the list of filters.

You may need to reinstall snapman.sys driver. To do it, please follow the instructions below:

Parallels Transporter installer contains SnapAPISetup.msi inside.

You need to:

1. Go to %temp% folder in MS Explorer (type %temp% in address line)
2. Run Parallels Transporter installer, wait while it is extracting packages and do not click 'Next'. Do not close it.
3. Installer will create two temporary folders in %temp% folder, with names like
"{FB8A118F-F808-4A65-4CAF-DcDbd47FBB29}", and in one of them you will find SnapAPISetup.msi

This is the Acronis SnapAPI installer, you need to copy it to your Desktop and then you may close Parallels Transporter installation.

Double click SnapAPISetup.msi on your desktop. Choose 'Remove'.

Restart Windows and then run SnapAPISetup.msi again and install it.

Make sure that your antivirus is either disabled or better yet uninstalled, before you do all the actions above.

This is close to the instructions in paper 5074 and (for me miraculously) it worked the second time round I did all the uninstalling and re-installing . . . Took me hours to get this to work which was a bit of a disappointment but now parallels works fine on my laptop.
