Problem with ctrl-break

I am using the trial version of Parallels Desktop on a MacBook Pro, using Windows XP. I am very impressed but am having difficulty with one feature. I need to interrupt the Visual Basic of Microsoft Access when debugging by pressing ctrl-break.

At the bottom edge of the Parallels window is a keyboard icon that offers a popup menu including ctrl-break. I would assume that selecting this would enter this into my current Windows program. However it seems to have not effect.

Either I have misunderstood how to insert ctrl-break or it is now working.

I have searched this forum and find that this topic has been discussed in the past. Is the absence of recent items and indication that it has been corrected or people have given up?

I would very much like to progress this problem. My situation is that I bought a new MacBook Pro last week and purchased and installed VMWare. This latter was a somewhat arbitrary choice. I am most impressed by it, especially its ability to clone an existing PC (a facility that I now see is available in Parallels). The one missed component is its inability to allow the input of ctrl-break.

The documentation of Parallels suggests that it can handle ctrl-break but I am having difficulty in finding out how, with the test version.

In response to your question, I do not know how to find out what keyboard layout is set inside VM. Where do I look for this information?

Any help would be welcome. If I can get it to work, I will most likely purchase Parallels.
 
I have just had a thought!

If you mean the keyboard setting within Windows XP itself, then it is 'English (United Kingdom)'

If you mean a setting within Parallels itself (which is what I was thinking) then I am still lost.
