Microsoft is pushing out updates to win 7 (some of them are for 64bit installs), there were about 7 or 8 that it wanted to update my new 64 bit win 7 install. They were the typical kinds of updates you always see with XP. However after the updates and a reboot, I lost all of my network drives and unable to connect to internet. The error message when trying to fix or diagnose what has happened is "Diagnostics Policy Service is not running". Googling this message did not yield encouraging help, most end up doing a system restore.
I have done a system restore to before the updates were done, it would be impossible to tell which update caused it. Thanks microsoft!
This leaves me in a position of never being able to update this win7 install?
