Problems with Microsoft Word

On my Mac I try to open a Word document and it opens Desktop Parallels and uses Microsoft Word contained in that program and not the one in the Mac section of my computer. I deleted Word from the virtual machine and now it tries to open it with Firefox! How do I stop this from happening? Any help would be appreciated.

Hello,

please right-click on any Word file in Mac OS. Choose 'Get info'. There you can find 'Open with' option. Select the software you want to use to open these files. Then click 'Change all'.
