Programs that require a CD to remain in the drive not working...

Hello all,
I wanted to test a program under XP that requires the CD in order to work. It installs fine but if you try to launch the program I get a message stating to please insert the original CD (which it is!!!).
Fustrating to say the least. Under bootcamp this is not an issue.
Any ideas?

This is a known problem. CD emulation doesn't allow raw access as of the latest release.

Parallels may upgrade CD emulation in a future release, but for now, it doesn't work.
