Quicken 08 won't install properly

I've got Parallels ver 3 loaded w/ XP and I'm trying to load Quicken 08 Home version. It loads OK, I say I'm a current user and my backup is located under MyDocs>Quicken. It asks for my password but at this point I get an error message saying Quicken has to shut down. When I earlier tried this step I had the backups on a USB stick and Quicken ran OK but it used the stick files to run, if I removed the stick it would go back to asking if I'm a current user user or not. Has anyone had this type of problem?
