Quicken 2010 Will not Register

Hello,

Parallels 5 and XP 2

I have read all of the threads I could find and have tried numerous things such as changing the MTU, turning off Shared Profiles, there is no virus software, etc, but we cannot get Quicken 2010 to register. The program runs fine and we can use our data from windoze. We cannot update our banking data though because you have to register the software. When we run register, the quicken browser window opens and says connected to internet and just spins. We have a connection and can run IE in the background with no problem. What else should we try?

Fixed: Uninstalled QB. Reinstalled and changed data file location away from the default and now it connects and updates. This stuff is so often voodoo.

Can you give more details on how you solved the problem? I am having the same issue. Your post says you uninstalled QB. Is that Quickbooks? I do not have quickbooks installed but still cannot register Quicken Premier 2010. As you said, the registration window opens and says it is connecting, but the progress bar gets about a third of the way and then it just sits there forever.
