Let's get real. Limiting the VM to 4 COM ports? I am utilizing a USB connected hardware radio interface device that runs flawlessly under BootCamp. Imagine my suprise to find my recently purchased Parallels Desktop 4.0 has a 4 port limitation.
The device connects to my computer via a single USB port and implements in hardware 6 Serial COM ports. The ports are then assigned to specific functions by installing the correct device driver for a particular function such as control, push-to-talk, morse keying, frequency shift keying etc, a USB Audio Codec, and an available RS232 port.
I will hold on to the software for a period of time to see if the issue can be resolved, otherwise I will have to exercise my 90 day money back guarantee option.
