RC2 3150 not working - BSOD

Well,
Things are not going well today. My platform is an iMAC 20 wi 2 GB of RAM, and I upgraded Parallels 3036 to 3150. Here are the steps that I used. First I downloaded the Windows compressor stuff to the old WIndows portion of Parallels and ran through that sequence to update and to convert the data. All of the messages said that it completed successfully. I then rebooted that VM. Next I went ot the OS-X side and ran the 3150 install, and that went well. Lastly I rebooted the entire machine.
After the re-boot I started the Parallels app. I hear the Windows va-voom sound as though the XP booted, but all that I see is a black screen!! Having not used Parallels very long I admit to being a rookie but what do I do now? The Parallels Desktop days thajt the machine is started but I cannot see the start button. How do I fix this or get to the XP apps?

Load Windows in safe mode and uninstall Parallels Tools.
Then you will be able load Windows as usually.

Thanks, I have moved on but am still stuck! Now the XP boots and it looks like it is gonna work, but rather than a full screen all I see is a 4 inch by 6 inch windows XP ara surrounded by lots of black. I am able to navigate and start programs within this area, but three issues remain. First, thought he apps boot within this area, I am unable to resize the eXP windows area to a working practrical size. Secondly, the wired mouse and keyboard both get semi-permanently stuck within this constraineda rea. After I control/alt I am able to free them to be able to click and navigate outside, but this had never happened within 3036. Also, within 3036 I was able to use the Apple wireless mouse and keybaord seamlessly, but now I cannot. Finally, My windows files are on an external hard drive attached via USB to the MAC. I used to be able to access these within XP, but now XP within parallales does not see this drive. What are my steps to resovel these issues. Oh, and I did try to revert cohernecne mdoe, and the Parallels Desktop allows me to choose this, but I do not see coherence. Actually Ihave NEVER seen coherence yet even in 3036.
