Hi!
I'm sorry to clutter up the message board with this inane message but I am desparate for some help. Normally I'm fastidious with recording serial numbers of programs I've purchased but somehow my permanent Parallels Activation/Serial Number was lost in the shuffle.
Of course, I didn't realize this until I had wiped my Macbook Pro clean for a reinstall only to be horified that I had accidentally kept my original trial key.
I've sent two messages to Parallels without any response as of yet. I contacted RegNow for their assistance and all they sent me was the download URL for the software.
I do have a disk backup of my machine from prior to my reinstall -- I'm hoping that the serial/activation number is stored somewhere on the filesystem so that I can recover it. Does anyone know where this is stored? I looked through the Preferences folders and didn't turn up anything.
I hope someone can help. I feel like a tool but I'm still hoping I won't be stuck re-purchasing the software (in particular given that I bought it just after the first beta release at the discounted price!).
Thanks for helping this bone-headed fool.
Steve
