figured this out today; when you share folders in Parallels you end up with duplicate folders within Windows. For example, one titled "Music" (Mac) and another "My Music" (Windows) same for documents, downloads, videos, pictures, desktop, etc.
To work around this and have Explorer more organized and remove the duplicate folders, go to VM configuration and enable shared profile, uncheck all the boxes except Desktop. Windows will have a problem with a redirected Desktop.
Parallels will log you off and log back in.
Open Windows Explorer and right click Properties for the folder you want to redirect ... like My Music. Go to Location and move the target to where you want it. Repeat for the other folders.
