Reinstalling Parallels

I had to reinstall Parallels after reformatting my OSX drive. My WIn XP installation that I was using with Parallels is on another drive. Do I need to rinstall XP to create a VM or can I create a VM that uses this installation.

You shouldn't need to do anything. Just open the old VM and it should work. For convenience, just double click the .pvs file in the finder.
