I have a mid-2014 MacBook Pro (2.5 GHz Intel Core i7). I just today upgraded my OS from High Sierra to Mojave.
My goal is to be able to use the PC version of QuickBooks.
When I acquired this computer four years ago, I never loaded Parallels / Windows / QB, as it would have required too many upgrades.
Until now, I have continued to use my old MBP, once/month, for QB.
I would like to transition these functions to my 2014 MBP.
As already stated, I have a 2014 MBP w/ Mojave.
In 2016, I purchased by never installed QB Pro/Premier 2017.

Q1: Which version of Parallels is best to run with Mojave? Can my configuration really handle v. 16?
Q2: What are my Windows options for use in conjunction with the answer to Q1, with Mojave, and with QB 2017.

As you can tell, I'm a methodical thinker, but I am only marginally computer literate. All help appreciated.

  2. Hello,
Parallels Desktop 16 is compatible with Mojave, you can find more information about the compatibility here.
According to the system requirements you will be able to run it on your Mac
And QB system requirements is here.
Looks like you can install Parallels Desktop 16, Windows 10 and your QuickBooks 2017 on your Mac. And you can always test it during the 14 days trial period.
Please let us know if you have any additional questions.
