    Hi

For info, our PMM setup is as follows:
The primary PMM site is UK02. This is also a DP and netboot server.
We also have a site in the US (US01) which is a DP and netboot server.

We're having a few issues performing machine builds in one of our US offices, specifically the build crashes when trying to install Creative Cloud.
Having checked the pmm_launchd_helper log file, it seems that the machine is trying to download the file from our UK server, rather than the local US01 server.
I've double checked and the package has successfully been distributed to US01.

I've attached the log files from the failed machine.

Can you please take a look and let me know if there's something we need to do to ensure the packages come from the local DP.

    Thanks

    Matt

    Hi Matt,
As I see from log you have one primary site in UK, but clients located in UK and US. And you setup Distribution Point local to US clients. Please, correct me if I'm wrong.

Did you setup separate boundary group for clients in UK and US? Is connection market as "Slow"?
Did you associate US DP with that group?

    Thanks Evgeny

That's correct, re the primary being in the UK and there being a DP in the US.

SCCM itself does have a boundary group for the US, which takes into account the IP ranges for that office as well as 2 Active Directory sites.
This is set as a fast connection.

Does anything need to be done specifically within PMM?

    Matt, please post following screenshots:
    1) Boundary Group for US / Properties / References tab
    2) DP for US / Properties / Boundary Groups tab
    3) DP for UK / Properties / Boundary Groups tab

    Some details about logs:
Both DPs are listed during search for the software package A10000C6.
    Base download url(s) for 'A10000C6': { http://uk02.medc.udcsms.com/SMS_DP_SMSPKG$/A10000C6, http://us01.medc.udcsms.com/SMS_DP_SMSPKG$/A10000C6 }
Client tries downloading in the order.
    Client successfully lists package content
    Started PROPFIND request to 'http://uk02.medc.udcsms.com/SMS_DP_SMSPKG$/A10000C6'
Url list retrieval status for 'http://uk02.medc.udcsms.com/SMS_DP_SMSPKG$/A10000C6' is 0

    Then tries to download CC2015StandardUS.dmg
    Started GET request to 'http://uk02.medc.udcsms.com/SMS_DP_SMSPKG$/A10000C6/CC2015StandardUS.dmg'
    this attempt failed
Download operation for 'http://uk02.medc.udcsms.com/SMS_DP_SMSPKG$/A10000C6/CC2015StandardUS.dmg' finished with 2 (Connection closed)
Because client was able to list package content on UK DP (PROPFIND), it will not try to download from US DP.

FYI, our Windows machines seem to work fine with the existing boundry groups and settings.

Matt, please raise the support ticket and attach this information.
Looks like there is no simple workaround for the issue. Current options:
    1) Try to uncheck "Allow fallback source location" for UK DP
    2) Make content available on UK DP
    3) Deny access to UK DP from US clients
