I'm currently running WinXp with Parallels using my Bootcamp partition. I find that Parallels is meeting my WIndows needs and that I'm not rebooting into Windows through Bootcamp at all. Windows locks up on me occasionally, and when it does I can't kill off the VM because I'm using the Bootcamp partition. I get a message saying that I need to shut down Windows by going through the start menu. Since windows is already locked up this isn't much of an option. So here is the question.

Can I remove Bootcamp and still use that installation of XP with Parallels, or will I need to reinstall Windows?

    Hello!

If you remove the bootcamp partition, Windows installed in boot camp will be removed too. And you will have to install Windows in the new virtual machine from scratch,

    Best regards,
    John

Windows is on its own drive, will it still be removed?

    Hello!

I must say that if Windows is installed in the Boot Camp partition and if you delete this Boot Camp partition Windows installed in this partition will be deleted too,

    Best regards,
    John
