Resolution pbms under RHEL WS-4 on MacBook Pro

Dear All,

I don't seem to be able to get a better resolution than 1024x768 on RHEL WS-4 in Parallels on my MacBook Pro. I tried to install the latest ATI driver and to use aticonfig -- initial and aticonfig -- resolution=0,1440x900 but it breaks the xserver. So I reverted to my original xorg.conf which corresponds to an LCD generic monitor 1440x900 with the generic VESA card. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

the ati driver doesnt work as parallels doesnt emulate an ati card. Ive always used the default generic VESA driver, tho I cant say ive really tried to go above 1024x768.. Sorry i cant be of more help
