Restore a VM?

Using Parallels 4 on a MacBook Pro.

I had a HD crash on my Mac and had to do a clean install. I have a backup of the Windows VM from user/documents/parallels, but when I start parallels it wants to walk me through a clean install of a new VM. How do I restore the old VM so I can continue to use it?
 
If this is a .pvm bundle you have as a backup (Parallels 4.0 version of virtual machine), then you should be able to simply double-click on this bundle and, as long as the Parallels Desktop application itself is installed, the virtual machine should load.

Other way around would be to start creating a new virtual machine, but in Custom Installation mode. On a step with "Hard disk options" select "Existing image file" and point to the backup you have. That is - you would need to point to the .pvm bundle and then to the .hdd (like winxp.hdd) file inside.
