Restoring Acronis Images on Parallels

I'm having troubles with restoring images from Acronis to Parallels.

My windows images won't boot (yes this has been discussed in other forums), but also I've created an image of a linux drive installation with (CentOS) and when restored on the parallels VM; the restored image can't boot. I get the errors:
"
MBR Error 3

MBR Error 1

Press any key to boot from floppy."

Now the Linux install was on an SATA drive so it could be mapping as a different device; so any ideas how to fix this?

Quick Follow up.

Tried fixing the grub installer, but doesn't seem to work as per suggested instructions.

"/dev/hda does not have any corresponding BIOS drive."
