So I had some trouble with my Leopard upgrade and Apple suggested I do an archive install. It's turned into a bit of a pain. What I'm wondering is, is there a way to restore Parallels.. specifically my XP installation, without having to reinstall windows? I work from home and my work is a couple of hours away and they have the windows CD so I'm hoping I don't need to install from scratch. Not to mention I'd like to be able to recover everything from my original XP installation. Help please.

I am thinking about installing Leopard over the holidays on my mbp with parallels but I am a bit reticent because I like the way it is working now. What should I look for as far as heading off potential issues? Also, I could never get my Sprint Blackberry to work as a broadband modem either.

if you want to install Leopard, you should do the following:
1. Uninstall Parallels Desktop.
Parallels Desktop for Mac distribution provides an Uninstaller application for easy product uninstallation.
Please note, that Parallels Uninstaller application does not remove Virtual Machines from your Macintosh HD. But you can back up your VM just in case.
To find Uninstaller application, if you have a Parallels Desktop for Mac CD, please insert it into your Mac CD/DVD drive. The Uninstaller application is there. If you have previously downloaded Parallels Desktop for Mac from the web site as a .dmg package, please double-click it. Once the .dmg package is mounted, you will see an Uninstaller application there.
Launch the Uninstaller application and follow the on-screen instructions.
2. Install Leopard.
3. Install Parallels Desktop 5582.
