Retarded question: how to get Parallels Tools

.
Whatever you do, don't go anywhere near the documentation.

After you have Parallels running and are logged into a guest OS. Then you can get the tools.

This is a rather stupid question, but where do I download/obtain Parallels Tools?

Parallel tools are downloaded with the installation. The are located in /Lbrary/Parallels/Tools

The filename is vmtools.fdd (floppy drive image) or vmtools.iso (CD image).

To install all you need to do is select the CD menu item from the lower right portion of the Parallels workstation window when your VM is running and select connect to image. The file selection menu will then allow you to go to the vmtools.iso and select that. After that it should be relatively automatic.

Also should point out that the tools are for Windows systems not Linux.
