Retrieve a MS-Word file from Parallels?

I am desperate! My MS-Word file with my homework is locked in a Parallels VM that now refuses to boot! Anyone can help me get this file out before 6pm tomorrow!!!!

next time save your data to shared folders

1)
search the forums for advice about the utility to browse the vm image
(I have never used it)

2)
You may be out of memory (disk space)
select but don't run your vm

clone it to an external hard disk
(see File menu)
and run it as a clone from there
