Run directly from removed SSD

    My PC died. The ssd is fine. I can access all the files. There are many programs I would like to access that have already saved settings.
    How do I access Windows directly from the SSD so all the loaded programs work as before?
    I read about copying a VM to the drive. Is that what I need to do?
    Copy it anywhere or on another partition?
