Well, I bit the bullet and upgraded to P4 - and as I expected, the process went wrong. The install got stuck, so I after 5 hours, I clicked the bit that said " if things go wrong click me" ( I wish there were more of these links in Parallels) and it sort of lurched on, throwing obscure alerts and questions at me, and after half an hour fiddling about suddenly Windows appeared, and the after pressing lots more options and relaunching a few times, the thing got going properly. A result! IT all seems a lot more delicious, so I'm glad I upgraded, but this increases my wonder at the possibility of marketing and supporting an application for the general public - people who aren't experienced at troubleshooting.... Moan over - I wondered if someone could tell me how to get Mac/Safari to be the default browser for P4? It used to be in P3 but I've forgotten how I did that cheers peter
peterlemer, You should share Safari to the VM side first: http://download.parallels.com/desktop/v4/docs/en/Parallels_Desktop_Users_Guide/23692.htm And then set it up as the default browser in Windows.
I can do this for stored URLs but can;t figure out how to do this with embedded links any ideas? peter
Hello Peter, Please follow the instructions given below in the link : http://download.parallels.com/desktop/v4/docs/en/Parallels_Desktop_Users_Guide/27351.htm In order to access Configuration please go to Virtual Machine -> Configure. Thank you.
