    Hi,

I just recently purchased Parallels Desktop for Mac. I installed it and upgraded to 3170. The first time I ran the installer, I selected to use my Boot Camp partition. I want to be able to set up coherent mode so that I can put my favorite Windows app icons on my OS X dock.

When I run the Parallels Tools installer, it prompts me with a dialog stating that Parallels 3170 will have to be re-installed. Is this normal?

Ah, I see I don't need to install the tools, looks like this was already done for me. So I've got an Internet Explorer icon on my OS X dock now. When I click it, Parallels launches but IE does not.

Anyone have a work around? Also, I sometimes get a message stating the boot camp vm could not be started. But if I attempt launch Parallels again, it does load it. Just a bug?

I'm pretty sure it's a bug. I get the same issue 90% of the time if the boot camp partition is visible on my desktop.
