Same winxp partition for bootcamp and pd 3.0?

I´m new to mac and wondering if I can use the same winxp partition (and installation) for both bootcamp and parallels desktop 3.0. I haven´t installed either yet, thought i´d try to find something about it on the net first but googling didn´t produce results. If yes, which one should i install first pd or bootcamp? I´m running leopard on a shiny new Macbook Pro.
