Saving Word or Excel files to my desktop is SLOW

I have a Macbook Air, running Maverick OS. I have parallels 9.0 running on this laptop using Windows 7. I mostly work in Full Screen mode. My specific problem is that if I am working either in Word or Excel, and I try to save that file to either the desktop or dropbox, there is a considerable pause (15 seconds) before it saves. Sometimes it hangs up altogether, and I have to restart word or excel.

Is anyone else experiencing this same type of problem? Or is there a solution for this? Thanks, Alberto

Hi AlbertoCM,

Please try (re) installing Parallels Tools as suggested at: http://kb.parallels.com/4841

After re-installing Parallels Tools.

Open Windows start menu > In the search bar type "SystemPropertiesPerformance(without quotes) and press Enter > Disable the options Animate controls and elements in Windows and Animate windows when minimizing and maximizing > click Apply and then click Ok.
