Hi,

after a complete setup of a VM, is-it possible to start it with initd at launch time ? (whithout graphical interface and with a command line)

Wow, 6 months with no reply on this.

I need the same functionality to avoid becoming a vmware customer. We have a bunch of Mac notebooks here, all running Parallels, but I need to have a bunch of vm's available over RDP for testing purposes.

Converting VMs between VMWare and Parallels whenever I need to move one from the servers to a notebook is a non-starter, which I'm afraid is going to force me into VMWare's arms.

Is there no way to run Parallels on Linux "headless"?

I was beginning to try the same thing just now. Perhaps you could put it in your .xinit or .xsession file to start parallels and configure parallels to autostart the vm? Would that work for you? As for the RDP stuff, you could install vnc server in the w2k VMs or use the built in RDP server in XP VMs. Both would give you the functionality you seek, I think, scratch that, I know the vnc server works in w2k. What I'm really trying to get at is more like terminal server so I can serve a dedicated windows app among multiple users.
