second boot camp partition not recognized in parallels

i have managed to create on my macbook pro the following partitions:
1. HFS 40 Gb running Leopard 10.5.2
2. NTFS 40 Gb running Windows Vista on BootCamp
3. NTFS 30 Gb used as my Data Disk

I had to change the disk id in my .pvz file in order for parallels to recognize my bootcamp partition and use it for parallels sessions.

I have installed the macfuse drivers in order for the mac to write and read the NTFS partitions.

Now my problem is that when i boot through boot camp, both my windows partitions are recognised as C: and D:

But when i run parallels, the D: drive or the second NTFS data partition is not "natively" recognised and mounted by the parallels. I need to use the parallels shared folders utility in order to mount this drive as a shared drive and use it.

Can somebody let me know how i can mount the second NTFS partition natively in parallels as drive D: without the parallels sharing?

Parallels can not currently add hard disk partitions in VM configuration, sorry.

However you can use Map Network Drive option in Windows: My Computer -> Tools -> Map Network Drive.

thanks for your quick reply.
i did try the mapping option but the problem is that i cannot create shares in a mapped drive. I run an server application on the windows side and a client application on the mac side and i want to use a share folder on the data drive for this client server workflow to look into for working. This is possible with bootcamp but not with parallels...

is there a plan to implement multiple partitions?
 
Srini15574, you can share the drives on Mac side: Mac OS X -> System Preferences -> Sharing. Enable File Sharing and add the file. Manage the account the way you need. In Options set SMB.

problem is that the sharing has to be on the windows side as the server application runs on windows.. so that is a limitation as of now
 
You can access the shared drives from Windows side via Shared Folders option. You should enable "All Mac disks" in "Share Mac folders to Windows" section of Shared Folders in your VM Configuration Editor.
