I have been trying for the past hour or so to set up my home computer running Windows 7 pro so I can access it with my Thinkpad Android Tablet with the 2x app installed, but am having no luck. Here are the steps I have taken: 1. In Windows, set up remote connection with a new user and password 2. Allowed Remote Desktop through Windows Firewall 3. Set up a static IP address 4. Port forwarded to that IP address 5. Used "whatismyipaddress.com" to find my IP address 6. Used that IP address in the 2x client server box 7. Inserted the username and password I set up on Windows When I try to connect I get the [1a/00000001] error stating that the specified remote connection could not be found. Verify that you have typed the correct computer name or IP address, and then try to connect again. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Hi there, when you don't use the 2xGateway you have to use the RDP connection to connect. Are you able to connect via MSTSC from a windows machine to your win7? Kind regards,
