Shared/Bridged Networking Question

HI, I have various instances of Parallels running in my IMAC and MACBOOKs.

I have also created a common WINDOWS workgroup for all of them (say WORKGROUP).

The problem I faced is that if I have the network adapter set as Shared, the Windows PC won't be able to see each other even though they have been separately configured to be in WORKGROUP. Only if i set them up using Bridged will they be able to see each other in the WORKGROUP.

I read in another Thread that it's better to configure the network adapters in SHARED mode - can I do that and still have a WORKGROUP for the PCs to see each other?

Hi,
the reason that it is recommended to choose shared is only due to Bridged is not guaranteed to work in all network environments (because of network configuration). If it works in within your network, you can use it without doubts.
