I, like others here, have experienced very sluggish performance with shared folders on Parallels 3.0.
I am happy to report things have improved substantially by upgrading to build 4560. Shared folders are still not as fast as virtual drives but I see at least a factor of 2 or 3 in improvement over before. There is often still a slight hesitation when accessing shared files but now shared files are usable again for me (which, before, they were not).
