OS X drives are in a format not readible by Windows. Try loading something like MacDrive 6 on the windows side.

what I meant was whether or not the Windows VM shared directory could be seen by OSX. Parallels certainly allows OSX shared directories to be set and viewed in the Windows VM. Sorry about the confusion.
As long as the Windows guest is running, and the directories you want to see from OSX are shared on the network, you should be able to connect to the share from OSX.
