I've been trying to get the Polar Infrared USB adapter to work so I
can upload data from my Polar s625x Heart Rate Monitor (I have
Parallels 3.0 and Mac OS X 10.4.10). When I plug in the IR
device, Parallels gives the "Parallels USB device you are trying
to connect to the virtual machine is being used by another
application..." error.
I found one page on the web that suggests how to make it work:
http://www.amazon.com/Polar-S720i-Heart-Monitor-Watch/dp/customer-reviews/B00018MSN8
However, the crucial part of this suggestion is that I need to "Tell
Parallels to share the IR/USB device", which I cannot figure out how
to do; in the configuration utility, it is possible to share only
folders and applications, but not devices. How do I share the USB
device?
