Sharing Mac Folder in Windows 8.1 doesn't work

I configured a Windows8.1 VM such that the macOS Download folder should be share in Windows8.1.

It simply doesn't work. i tried with whole drive and User folder as well. Folder does not appear on desktop on the Windows side.

Have you tried any of these solutions https://kb.parallels.com/en/120413? I'm not using Windows 8.1 and can't say it can actually help, but sharing all disks helped me with Windows 10 issue.

I've tried both of it (all drives and distinct folder) to no avail. I can see a share on another Windows (10) VM, as soon as it is up.
It's an HP Notebook with an HP desktop manager (FWIW)

No. By "Share" I mean a Network share á la Microsoft Network share.
