I'm about to upgrade to an M2 macbook air with 24GB of memory. I run a windows stats program, SAS, that is fairly intensive and that can be installed in either 32 bit or 64 bit versions (but once installed is hard to change). On an intel mac, its clear that the 64 bit version is faster, but I'm wondering for the M2 ARM version, given that the 64 bit support is newer and maybe harder to pull off, if I'd be better off sticking with the 32 bit version (I'm pretty sure either will run).
