I have a XP VM running under Parallels on my MacBook and I was wondering if it might be possible to share the same iTunes library between both OSes. (Not at the same time of course!) I am using the "Mirrored Desktops, Documents & Media" option and I had hoped that I could run iTunes under Windows like this. I renamed the library file to use the .itl extension so that the Windows version of iTunes would recognize it but when it loads it shows the little missing-file exclamation mark to the left of all my music. In case you're wondering why I would want to do this it is because of some Windows-only utilities that I would like to run once in a while against my iTunes library. Just wondering if anyone else out there has managed to make the two play nice together somehow.
