I am running Vista, it has 850 Mb RAM, and throughout the different versions of Parallels I have noticed that installing software is excruciatingly slow. I don't have a point of reference, so I am asking you if you have had the same experience? Here is an example: I just downloaded the trial of Visio 2007 Pro. From when the download finished, starting with "extracting files" all the way through the install and configuration until I finally get a Visio window displayed, took right around 45 minutes. That seems awfully slow, even for a vm. Is this expected behavior, do you guys see this slowness too (and HDD thrashing) or is there something possibly wrong with my particular vm install? What speeds have you seen when installing larg(er) apps like this? Any feedback would be appreciated. D P.S. Currently running 5144 but have seen this ever since I installed 2.5
