what is the best way to do this?
when i drag-dropped Parallels on the mac-mini to the trash, did i create a problem? are there some configuration files that i should have kept?
can i start from scratch?

reviewing my poor transition
1) the original version on the x86 was Win 10
2) the parallels that I downloaded to my macpro was Win 11 Pro
how can I re-download a Win 10 to my macpro, and then upgrade?

I wish this were a reply. Frankly, I'm new to parallels forum, please; can you advise me how to pose my own question. It doesn't seem easy!
Thanks
Richard

to update the product key
MS requires: xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx (5x5)
however, the macmini key is: xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx (5x4)
> so I am unable to create an upgraded MS profile to match the upgraded Parallels profile
(I'm a few months away from renewing the parallels license, so I can do whatever is required to get it working)

original macmini OS info (formats only)
Device name DESKTOP-ABCDEFG
Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) i3-8100B CPU @ 3.60GHz
Installed RAM 8.00 GB (7.85 GB usable)
Device ID ...-...-...-...-...
Product ID 12345-67890-12345-abcde
System type 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor

Basically - they don't spell out all that needs to be done.
You can't take your basecamp license over to a macpro, and expect a free upgrade.
